The End

It’s crazy how fast time flies it only feels like we should still be at the beginning of the semester. These 8 weeks flew by but I learned a lot from this class and it was interesting learning different things about social media. During this course we had learned about target audience and about social media marketing and many other things. We also had some interviews with people work in the social media marketing departments of their jobs.

One thing that I was able to take away from this class was the target audience and posting things that would catch that target audience. For me and my art page on Instagram I try post drawing that would reach out an have a certain dynamic with my followers also with trying to have new followers on my page as well. I don’t care about the likes or the saves. When someone comments I try and comment back with a certain amount of time. Interacting with followers if the best way to make friends and gain more followers because will tell someone about you and show them their page if they are interesting.

The other thing that we learned is about SMART goals which is like a plan for social media marketing and how make a certain platform work and stay organized. Smart stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely. It is also a way to keep your future scheduled and stick out to your target audience.

There was one thing that I did not understand and that was the social media audit. The only thing that I got was that it used to grab percentages on comments shares and like on the social media platform. I know that the way you can grab that information by going either Facebook or Instagram you could find it in the settings and shows you everything that you need to know.

“Think about what people are doing on Facebook today. They’re keeping up with their friends and family, but they’re also building an image and identity for themselves, which in a sense is their brand. They’re connecting with the audience that they want to connect to. It’s almost a disadvantage if you’re not on it now.”

In conclusion, there a lot that you can learn from class the textbook is helpful and a lot of there quizzes on the chapters that you read. Also, you get to keep the textbook for a lifetime so you can refresh your memory on things if you forget so you can touch up.

  1. I am so glad we are able to keep the textbook, although things in social media will change many if not most of the topics will be highly relevant and be a great source to look back on when I feel I am in a creative rut.
